ACL Europe Open 2026

We are back in Croatia for the annual ACL Europe Open!! After a huge event last year in Porec, we are running it back in this beautiful coastal town for another edition in 2026!

New events this year, some new structured events and an extra day of Cornhole! This is the event of the year you do not want to miss.

This event is part of the 2026 ACL Europe Series, the professional Cornhole Tour of Europe, where the best players face off to become the #1 player in all of Europe. This event is for players of all ages and skill levels. The flagship event of the year that you don't want to miss! The season ends with the ACL Europe Open in Porec!

Wednesday - Sept 2nd (OPENING DAY)

• 17:30 - Kick-Off + Drinks
• 18:30 - Start Blind Draw (ACL Local Points)

Thursday - Sept 3rd (CLUB & CREW CUP DAY)

• 08.00 - Doors Open
• 09.00 - Stage 1 - Club Champions Cup
• 10.00 - Start Crew Cup (for players not in Club event)
• 17:00 - Final Club Champions Cup
• 17:30 - Sweet Sixteen Doubles

Friday - Sept 4th (WCO WORLD CUP DAY)

• 08:00 - Doors open
• 09:00 - Official World Cup Opening and Teams Introduction
• 09:30 - Start WCO World Cup - Group Stage + Quarter finals)
• 10:00 - Start Sit N Gos (non points event)
• 10:00 - Start New Players Event (PPR below 6)
• 15:00 - SWAP event for players not in ACL Europe Pro event (Local points)
• 16:00 - ACL Europe Pro Event FINALS 
• 20:00 - Semi Finals + Finals - WCO World Cup
  (Players that are playing in the World Cup can also play in SWAP!!)

Saturday - Sept 5th (SINGLES DAY)

• 8:00 - Doors open
• 9:00 - Start Upper level Singles
• 13.00 - Upper Tier Singles Double Elimination start
• 14:00 - Start Singles Rounders - Lower Tier
• 17:00 - Lower Tier Singles Double Elimination start
• 19:00 - ACL Europe Pro Qualifier (final 4 spots!)
• 20:00 - Sit n Go’s + Players Party

Sunday - Sept 6th (DOUBLES DAY)

• 08:00 - Doors Open
• 09:00 - Start Open Doubles (4 rounds)
• 12:00 - Open Doubles Double Elim

Tournament Format

Blind Draw

• Blind Draw will be played in a rounders format + single elimination bracket
• Events will count for Local points

Club Champions Cup

• This is a new format to determine what the best Cornhole Club is in the World! The event will consist of three different stages:
• Stage 1: Doubles Event to determine Group Stage seeding
• Stage 2: Group Stage to determine Bracket Seeding
• Stage 3: Final Single Elimination Bracket

Teams requirement:

- Club must be an officially registered club and proof of existence may be requested
- Teams consist of 4 players that all need to be from the same club. ACL Europe may request proof of club membership
- Team members do not need to have the same nationality, but they need to be from the same club
- Clubs can register more than 1 team, in fact as many as they want

Events do not count for ACL points.

Crew Cup

• The Crew Cup on Thursday is for all players not playing in the CLUB event
• Players will register as individual player, not as a team
• Teams will be mixed together based on CPI index
• Crew Cup will follow a Rounders + Elimination format
• Events do not count for ACL points

Sweet Sixteen Doubles

• 16 Doubles teams will play for a ticket to the US next season
• Single Elimination format
• Seeding based on ACL Europe rankings
• Doubles Teams must have played in at least 1 Open or Regional event together
• Sign up by emailing acleurope@iplaycornhole.com 
• Events do not count for ACL points

Junior / Senior / Women's Singles

• Events will be played in a rounders format + single elimination bracket
• Junior players must be 16 years or younger at the date of the event
• Senior players must be 55 years or older at the date of the event
• Events will count for Local Points

SWAP Thursday

• SWAP on Thursday will be played in a round robin format + single elimination bracket
• Events will count for Local points

SWAP Friday

• SWAP on Friday will be played in a round robin format + single elimination bracket
• Events will count for Local points
• Players that are in the WCO World Cup are also allowed to participate in this event
• Players that are in the ACL Europe Pro Event can not participate in this event

New Players Event (PPR below 6)

• New players event will be played in a rounders format + double elimination bracket
• Events will not count for Local points

Open Singles

• In order to manage the large amount of players in Singles, the event has been split up with staggered starting times to ensure waiting times are not too long
• We will split up the event in the “Upper Tier” and “Lower Tier” Singles event prior to the start of the event
• The split will be made based on CPI score and you will be informed upfront if you are selected for the Upper or Lower Tier
• If you are in the Lower Tier, you are allowed to “play up” and participate in the Upper Tier. You will be informed about this as well prior to the event
• Both Tiers will play 4 rounds or rounders
• After rounders the event will be split into multiple brackets following a Double Elimination format
• The Singles events will all count for local points

Open Doubles

• Doubles will be played by 4 rounds of rounders and a double elimination bracket
• The Doubles events will all count for local points

Important note for doubles: This year we do allow European/North American Doubles combinations. There are no restrictions on this front.
